How to Overcome Adult Acne

Most of my life I’ve had to deal with some sort of acne, it became especially bad in my early to mid twenties. I had a severe case of something called cystic acne, it was so bad that I couldn’t open my mouth wide enough to eat a sandwich. I tried so many products and tricks; Dermalogica, Mary Kay, Clinique, ProActive, full coverage makeup, and nothing worked until my mom suggested seeing an aestatician. I was very hesitant because at 22 years old I had no idea what that was and what exactly she could do for me, I was hopeless to say the least.

So I went and she gave me some of the best advice; get facials every 4-6 weeks to get your skin under control, change your makeup products (MAC foundation is so bad for your skin) cleaning your pillowcases weekly and CLEAN YOUR CELLPHONE! However, the biggest and most beneficial for me was getting on birth control to balance out my hormones because where the acne was the worst on my face, is related to a hormonal imbalance. She changed my LIFE.  So for the next few years I was getting facials, taking my birth control, using better makeup and cleansers that were meant for treating acne. However, when I moved to Las Vegas I stopped getting facials, became Vegan, and my skin went back to its old ways. I later found out that my acne flair up was due to my diet, too much soy in the Vegan products I was consuming.

Fast forward to July-ish 2017 and I literally looked like a pizza face, you know that mean name kids in school used to use to tease kids with pimples. I had these crazy, deep white bumps on my chin and jaw line. The cystic acne was creepin back, and my cheeks were covered in pimples. By now my facial products had stopped working and I had no idea what to do, they had worked in the past. I had a social media friend tell me that she was sensitive to dairy and wheat and any time she consumed it she would get these little white bumps on her chin and jaw line area. So I started to cut out these two things from my diet (also I was able to get back on my birth control, thank you health insurance) and I noticed a little bit of a difference. It wasn’t until I tried BioClarity that my skin once again was healed. It took a little bit over a month to see a significant difference. Now three months in my skin is less red, smooth, and breakouts are frequent unless its “that time of the month” or I’ve eaten something my body doesn’t like, such as anything dairy. (keep reading to see before and after photos)

BioClarity is an all natural skin care line designed to fight and heal acne. It is a three-step system that should be used twice a day, morning and night. There is an additional fourth step for extra hydration, however, it is optional. The products are so concentrated that you only need to use a small amount.

Step 1: Cleanse. Made with cucumber, green tea and chamomile.

Step 2: Treat. 2% salicylic acid and oat kernel.

Step 3: Restore. Floralux, is a proprietary ingredient of BioClarity.

BioClarity comes as the 3 piece system that is shipped out every other month, and for only $29.95 a month, its totally worth it!

I swear by BioClarity now, it has changed my skin by helping with my acne but also with hydration which is vital as I’m getting older and living in the desert here in Las Vegas.

Fellow sufferer here. For me it is in parts genetic and in parts hormonal. What really works for me, but takes a lot of discipline is a whole program:
    1. Eating healthy (kinda Dr. Gregers daily dozen) and adapted to my cycle
    2. Doing at least 10 minutes of cardio daily (balances hormones)
    3. Taking Shatavari daily (not sure if it does anything)
    4. Using skin care from the pharmacy and BPO every night
I am the clearest I have been in a while, but going bad with my diet will instantly show. :/ One surprise learning I had: Potatoes are the worst, as they really up your DHT. And here I always thought they were kinda healthy…
Sorry for the rant! I wish you the best of luck with your regimen and that your skin keeps getting better!

Thank you for such a nice article. I will link back from my
blog to your article. I would like to add a point as well. The toner may
help treat your skin layer after cleansing, and salicylic acid can fight the acne.
